The brief of this event was originally just to create an web3 gaming-themed announcement on twitter.
Once I discovered how the event planner was going to minimally brand the space, this was a perfect brand moment to not only make the attendees but the partners feel something specially tailored to their interests.

Artwork created for a limited edition NFT for people who received a 9dcc hat during the event.
Software used for this project was After Effects, Blender, Photoshop, Illustrator, & Figma .

The concept of the event was to incorporate a familiar nostalgia since the web3 gaming space is all about retro video games using blocked 8-bit type and graphics.

Day-of-event after set-up, announcement on X.

Preliminary render.
Use of a game cartridge harkens to the simpler times of gaming while allowing for the label to be a space to allow for disparate IPs to coexist.

One of many final renders of a game cartridge before moderate application of textural effects.
This is the more 'generic' version for OpenSea.

The treatment emulates a mixture of an old CRT visual degradation, soft blurs and a templated approach for cohesion across different non-owned channels.
The reasoning for the individual partner announcements was to pre-heat or generate interest & in-person participation around the event for the games' individual communities.

Game cartridges projection mapped via Resolume equipped event space. The original brief was to showcase random NFTs from each project on a 30-sec to 1-mintue loop, but after creating the personalized content for each partner… this was a great opportunity to make every person attending the event to feel excited about attending and supported by the OpenSea team and platform.

Each partners' cartridge was laid-out for the projection map, easing opacity for a gentle transition between each, as the space would be used for conversing rather than a highly kinetic style of animation.

Designed each logo for the main area of the space to live alongside the retro arcade cabinets that going to be placed in the event space. This was a proof sent to a vendor for pricing

After the quote came back, the opinion was to keep the signs for future OpenSea use and keep the budget in a manageable range.

Pre-install neon signs backstage, a concept for marketing for a branded vacuum-sealed mug, & menus for the VIP dinner before doors.

In-situ placement of fabricated 'neon' signs mounted above classic arcade cabinets.

In-situ placement of fabricated 'neon' signs on polished tabletops.

Attendees making use of the immersive installation.
